kinder

Harvest Schools is closing December 20th.  Kinder is trying to stay at Harvest with the preschool.  We will hopefully be hearing a final decision soon.  The school is closing from lack of funds.  The economy is not helping us right now.  Tithes are down at the church.  Our student numbers are down.  Last year Kinder had a total of 24 students. This year there are only 15.  I love my class.  I would love to be able to keep them all together.  There could be a possibility of our school doing a co-op.  That we just meet in a different location.  Or even all the students transferring to one school and a teacher position will be available to us teachers at Harvest.  I just pray for the right decision.   That we follow His plan.

Funny how things work out

There are no words to describe how I feel. I am currently in the best
relationship ever right now. Josh and I dated 8 years ago. It really
was not a rough breakup. He called occasionally to see what I was up
to. I was not even wanting to be in a relationship. I was coming back
from working at Still Water sports camp (which was awesome). I prayed
for my future husband. That it is not up to me. I got home and josh
asked me to go to dinner. I said yes. We went and ate sushi and fried
Oreos. I am just so happy. It is so great to be with a guy that loves
it when u call and sends pictures and wants to do everything together.
It took years apart for us to grow together. God has a plan. He is
wonderful!!! :)

Summertime

It is so great to have a summer break!!! But when u think about, it is
fair for us teachers to have 2 months off. I mean, we do teach with
the kids for 10 months!!! They need as much of a break from as we do
them. But I do love my kids very much. I will miss them greatly. I
could not have asked for a better group to have for my first in kinder.

Summer has been pretty sweet so far. Besides I had to mover
EVERYTHING out of my classroom. Our whole school is getting painted
over the summer. Which I guess is good. I put posters over the parts
that were not so good. Then my first official summer vacation started
on Friday. Blasted into full gear by tubing down the guadalupe!!! It
was great!!! Could not ask for more relaxation than 4 hours down the
river. Next stop.... gristmill!!!! Yum!!!! So awesome!!!! I can't wait
for what's coming up next!!!!

Birthday blessings

I have had such an awesome birthday this year!!!! I just want to count
my blessings. :) I lot has happened over the year. A serious
relationship of 5 years (on and off) ended. I lived with the Thorn's.
Wow!!! I really love them!!! They are family. I have survived my
first year teaching kinder. I moved into my first apartment. :) and I
love it. It is a little quiet, though. I have never lived by myself. I
have a new church family. Which, I have been looking for, my whole
life. And it is so awesome to hang out with them!!! My mom is almost
finished with chemo (diagnosed with lung cancer November 2007). The
parents in my class are just so great!!! They know just what to do and
be there for me so that I have been able to teach their child.

They threw me a surprise party for my birthday!!! My kindergartners
tried so hard to keep it from me. They wanted to tell me so bad. They
did a good job for the most part. My favorite was when we got to my
decorated clasroom door, they sang happy birthday to me. It was so
cute!!! We even had a piñata.

I went to dinner with my dad and family last night. My mom and sisters
and nephws, and have plans for Friday and Saturday.Yah!!!!

The Escape

My mom and I are still at the hospital. They are supposedly observing
her. We decided we were going to escape and get her hair cut. I
chopped off my hair to donate it. My hair was not long enough to make
a wig. My mom cut her hair the same as mine :) we made it back to the
room with no trouble. Nurses were not too worried that they could not
find us. I wonder if they even were. They said they didn't know where
we were and why we left. We didn't tell them anything. I used my mini
staightener on her hair. It looks fab!!! My step-dad will be stating
with her tonight. And hopefully tomorrow will be discharged. I hope my
mom gets admitted to an inpatient room. Bc I know he will not sleep on
the floor like I did. I do not reccommend it to anyone.

Change of plans

>

> Today we thought it was going to be a quick trip to Houston. My mom
> only needed a dressing change on her PICC line and chemo. Well, it
> all changed. She was in pain from her PICC line and it was swollen.
> The doctors ordered a sonogram. Even the sonogram took 2 and a half
> hours. The sonogram showed there was a blood clot. The doctors
> admitted my mother to the emergency center to start thinning her
> blood and for a CAT scan. The doctors will be monitoring her here in
